建堂推動委員會 劉夢漣供稿

※達拉斯教區主教Bishop Grahmann 將於五月二十九日上午十點三十分，親臨我們新堂地點，為我們舉行第一期工程的破土典禮。敬請大家期待這個值得我們驕傲與興奮的歷史性時刻。

※三月份建堂基金捐款共計$9,257元。感謝大家的奉獻，請大家繼續努力。

※神父已於三月份開始做他退休前的告別拜訪，並藉這個機會送達每個教友家庭為第一期建堂工程的特別奉獻意向卡，以示鄭重。這個奉獻意向必需呈報主教府，做為主教批準我們開工的依據。當您接到這奉獻意向卡時，務必請您填妥後於復活節主日(4/11)的彌撒中奉獻在天主臺前。今年的募款目標必需要達到四十萬($400,000)元，才能支付興工的支出。敬請您大力祈禱並慷慨解囊，讓我們攜手共建新家園！

※如果您無法參加復活節的主日彌撒，請您在四月十一日前將建堂奉獻意向卡投入聖堂前廳的建堂奉獻箱中，我們會收集後在復活節彌撒中奉獻在天主臺前。

各組計畫及工作報導

禮儀組 席鯤珍供稿

※4/4--聖枝主日，聖枝遊行在上午10:45舉行。

4/6--晚上7:30主教府有年度祝聖聖油禮儀。

4/8--聖週四彌撒晚上8:00開始，請陪伴聖體。

4/9--聖週五下午3:00拜苦路。耶穌受難禮儀於晚上8:00舉行。

4/10--復活節前夕彌撒晚上8:00開始。

4/11--復活節中英彌撒合併於11:00舉行。

關懷組 韓開元供稿

※ 四月十一日復活節愛心園遊會，收入將悉數捐贈給最需要幫助的貧困者。園遊會一張票$0.50。在四月十日晚十一時前購買，買十張送一張。關懷組懇請各位弟兄姊妹，熱誠地參與園遊會的義賣活動，捐獻財力、物力和人力。願意提供食品者，請與莊祖琪或韓開元登記。願意提供遊戲及獎品者，請與萬玉珊或朱偉言聯絡。

※ 復活節的撿彩蛋活動將於彌撒後十分鐘在教堂正門前舉行。七歲以下的兒童先開始，十分鐘之後，再讓七至十歲的兒童加入。請家長們帶孩子來一起同樂。也請和其他小朋友一起分享撿到彩蛋的喜悅。

※ 關懷組需要各位弟兄姊妹協助堂區電話問候，接待新教友或望教友，整理接待人員名冊資料，參與Pro-life Counseling等活動。有意參加者，請與莊祖琪或韓開元聯絡。

※ 四月份慶生，訂於四月四日中午在活動大廳舉行，請大家一齊來參與分享壽星們的喜悅，和可口的蛋糕。

※ 在春假期間我們又開始了Welcome Angels Club ( 迎新小天使俱樂部 ) 的活動。孩子們將在每個月的第一個星期六舉行活動、聚會。四月份的聚會將於四月三日, 星期六下午五時在陳如濱家舉行。地址是1615 Rainbow Dr. Richardson，電話972-238-9398。有關迎新小天使俱樂部的目的和活動的詳細內容，請閱佈告欄。

※ 孫聿鈞弟兄設計的教堂新網頁正在蘊釀中，將以最快的速度，全新的面貌與各位教友見面，請拭目以待。

青少年陶成組 朱偉言供稿

※ 極受青少年歡迎的Youth 2000避靜，將於四月十六日星期五傍晚至四月十八日星期日中午在Fort Worth Diocese的St. Andrew Parish舉行。此避靜特別為十三歲以上的青少年朋友而設計，有他們喜愛的音樂。並十分注重聖體和告解聖事。我們鼓勵堂區內七年級或以上的孩子參與。特別是要請將在六月份接受堅振聖事的青少年朋友去參加該活動。有意參加的人請儘快與Reuben聯絡報名，以便安排住宿及carpool。此外我們也需要成人chaperon，負責接送孩子往返parish及旅館。有意幫忙的教友，也請和Reuben聯絡。

夫婦懇談會 張元生供稿

※第九屆美南夫婦週末營定於今年九月三日至五日舉行。風趣及經驗豐富的滿而溢神父已答應於百忙中抽空來達拉斯擔任週末營的指導神師。有興趣參加的夫婦請向李元正、蕭康宜夫婦報名。同時也希望大家積極邀請朋友參加。這兩天的時間將是您對您自己及最愛的另一半所做最好的投資。

※九種性格研討會三月份的討論會有二十位朋友參加，在熱烈的氣氛中結束了第四型性格的討論。下次聚會將開始第八型性格的討論。時間是四月二十四日。歡迎大家參加。

中文學校 萬玉珊供稿

※四月十日是一年一度的中文演講比賽，比賽報名截止日期為三月三十日，若您想讓您的孩子參加比賽以增進中文說話的能力，請儘早與校長萬玉珊聯絡 (817)354-8892。

※四月十一日中文學校全校師生將會全力參與復活節園遊會的活動，敬請家長大力支持。中文學校並因此復活節慶祝活動而停課一天。

※四月十八日中文學校因Youth 2000 的活動停課一天。

New Church Building Committee:

※ The ground-breaking ceremony for our new church first phase construction will be presided by Most Reverend Bishop Grahmann at 10:30 am on May 29, 2004. Please joint us to celebrate this exciting moment of our church!

※The total of building fund donation received in March is $9,257.00. We appreciate everybody’s generous support. Please continuously pray for the success of this project.

※Before the end of March, Fr. Chen will visit each family and deliver to you the Phase 1 Construction Special Pledge Card. Your support is very important to the new church construction. The total of pledged donation will be reported to the Diocese, and it will be one of the criteria which Bishop will evaluate in order to grant the construction permission. Please be generous and bring back the filled out pledge card during the Easter Sunday (4/11) Mass so that we can dedicate our efforts to The Lord. We must meet the $400,000 fund raising goal in order to support the construction. Let’s build our new home together! Your prayers and generosity are desperately desired.

※If you cannot come to the Easter Sunday Mass, please return your Special Pledge Card before April 11 to church. The card can be dropped in the donation box in the lobby. All pledge cards will be dedicated to the Lord during the Easter Sunday mass.

Liturgy:

※ Upcoming events in April are as follows:

04/04 -- Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion. Palm Sunday March and Rally at 10:45 AM.

04/06 -- Chrism Mass in Cathedral, Dallas 7:30 PM.

04/08 -- Holy Thursday. Evening Mass at 8:00 PM. After Mass, please accompany the Eucharist.

04/09 -- Good Friday. Stations of the Cross at 3:00 PM. Mass at 8:00 PM.

04/10 -- At the Easter Vigil in the Holy Night of Easter, Mass at 8:00 PM.

04/11 -- Easter Sunday. Mass at 11:00 AM (No 9:30 AM Mass).

Youth Formation:

※The Youth 2000 Retreat, which is the favorite retreat for many Catholic youths, will take place from April 16 (Fri) evening till April 18 (Sun) noon. The venue is St Andrew Parish at Fort Worth. This retreat is designed for youth age 13 and above. The program consists of their favorite music, talks, testimonies, and a lot of emphasis on the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation. We recommend kids of grade 7 and above to attend this event, especially those youth about to receive their sacrament of Confirmation coming June. Please register with Reuben Chen as soon as possible so that lodging and carpool can be arranged. Moreover, we are looking for adult chaperons for this event. Their responsibilities will be mainly driving kids to the retreat site and the motel in the morning and evening. Please contact Reuben for more information.

Outreach Team:

※ We'll have Easter Carnival as previous years, with lots of food and games. The Outreach Team needs your help to have a successful Easter Carnival. All proceeds will go to outreach charities. Each Carnival ticket costs 50 cents and 1 bonus ticket for every 5 dollars purchases before 11:00 PM April 10. Please also sign up at the front lobby to volunteer to cook up some of your best dishes, for dine in or take out. We also need some people to serve at the foods and game booths at the carnival. Any gifts or cash donation for game booths are coordinated by Vivian Chou and Ron Chu ; for food festival by Aileen Chen and Jerry Han.

※ Easter Egg Hunt will begin about 10 minutes after Easter Mass. Please gather at the church's front porch right after Mass. Children under age 7 will start hunting Easter eggs first and after 10 minutes the ones between ages 7 and 10 will follow. Parents will need to be with their children to guide them and also help other children who may have a hard time to find the Easter eggs.

※ This year's Welcome Angel party has started during Spring Break and the turn out was great. The Youth participants have decided to meet routinely on the first Saturday of each month. Our next party will be held at Reuben Chen's house at 1615 Rainbow, Richardson, on Saturday, April 3rd, at 5 PM. The purpose of the "Welcome Angels Club" is to welcome and get acquainted with youth or children that are new to our church. The activity includes singing some praise songs, Bible reading and faith sharing of their life experience relevant to our reading of the day, praying, and then dinner and partying.

※ The Outreach Team will need parents and adults to help out in preparing and serving foods as well as young adults to come participate in the party so that we can welcome our new friends. Please contact Reuben Chen at 972-238-9398 for more information.

※ The Outreach Team needs more volunteers to help make phone calls, to be receptionists for the English Mass and the Chinese Mass, to put church visitors information together, to work on pro-life counseling, and etc. Please contact Aileen or Jerry.

※ We'll celebrate April Birthday Stars with a birthday cake on April 4, 2004 at church's activity hall during lunch.

Communication:

※ Communication group is going to make memorial issue of Helen Ip. We are collecting articles from now to the end of April. Please write down your sweet memory of her and pass it to any of Grapevine editors.

※ Our church web has been updated frequently enough to reflect what is going on within church. Please go check it out at http://www.chinese-catholic.org/

※ The new church web is totally redesigned and under construction by Tom Sun now. It will be available to the public very soon.

Chinese School:

※ Chinese Student Speech tournament will be held on April 10^th, Registration deadline is on March 30^th .If any Chinese student is interested in this contest, please contact Vivian Chou (817)354-8892.

※ There will be no Chinese school on both April 11^th (Easter celebration) and April 18^th (Youth 2000)
