建堂快報

 

建堂推動委員會                     劉夢漣供稿

 

※建堂推動小組將於六月四日(星期五)至六月六日(星期日)舉辦”車庫拍賣”(Garage Sale) 以為建堂募款。敬請大家捐獻品質良好可供售賣之新舊物品，諸如﹕衣服、電腦、腳踏車、家具、等等。請您將捐獻物品於五月十六日(星期日)後帶來教堂置放於活動大廳。

 

※萬分感謝大家對建堂的熱烈支持，與慷慨的承諾。我們共收到為第一期建堂工程的特別奉獻意向卡124份，總額$399,065。

 

※達拉斯教區主教Bishop Grahmann 將於五月二十九日上午十點三十分，親臨我們新堂地點，為我們舉行第一期工程的破土典禮。敬請大家期待這個值得我們驕傲與興奮的歷史性時刻。

 

※新堂的隔間、室內設計、及外觀圖按教區禮儀委員會之指示作了局部修改後，已獲教區批准。如果您想了解修改的細節，請洽建堂工程小組。

 

※四月份建堂基金捐款共計$13,932元。感謝大家的奉獻，請大家繼續努力。

※我們新堂的第一期工程，將於五月廿九日上午十時三十分舉行破土典禮，屆時主教Grahmann將親臨主持。典禮後並有免費豐盛食物招待，歡迎所有教友踴躍参加。詳細地址和開車路徑，將另行以Flier方式公告，請至前廳桌上拿取。

 

 

 

各組計畫及工作報導

關懷組                               韓開元供稿

※    五月份慶生將於五月二日中午於活動大廳舉行，請壽星踴躍參加，也懇請各位弟兄姊妹前來祝福他們，並分享他們的喜樂及為他們準備的蛋禚。

 

※    今年復活節的愛心園遊會在充滿主愛，熱情洋溢的兄弟姊妹傾力籌備、贊助下，準備了許多美食和有益的遊戲，使來訪的家人及朋友都能盡情歡樂，感受到基督復活的喜悅及祝福。關懷組特別感謝各位兄弟姊妹們頂力相助，共襄盛舉。今年的愛心園遊會票卷售賣及捐獻收入共$3447.50，已存入仁愛基金帳戶。仁愛基金將預定於六月份召開運作會議。

 

※    本月份的Welcome Angels Party將於五月八日，星期六下午四時三十分在Plano的一所公園 (Harrington Park) 內舉行。該公園位於75號中央公路和第十六街的西北角。有關活動的詳細地點和內容，請參閱主僕月訊英文版或和陳如濱(Reuben Chen)連絡(972-238-9398)。也請教友們多鼓勵家中的青少年參加該項頗有意義的活動。

※                       五月二日為本年度最後一次宗教教育課。在五月九日母親節當天，我們將為所有參加宗教教育課的朋友們提供Pizza。時間是上午十一時三十分。Pizza party後，孩子們將參與母親節午餐的服務和表演項目。歡迎青少年朋友們一起來參加。
 
※                       堅振聖事的課程將繼續於每個主日上午十點四十五分至中午舉行，以便妥善的準備六月六日上午十一點的堅振彌撒。
 
※                       Youth Exchange Service (YES)每年都支援海外來美的交換學生計劃，其中有許多是天主教徒。YES極希望能有天主教家庭能提供Host family的服務，提供膳宿。參加YES的青年人都已有醫療保險，學校安排，和生活費用。有意參加此服務的家庭可向YES查詢1-800-848-2121，或參閱陶成組佈告欄。
 

聖心中文學校                                         萬玉珊供稿

 

※五月九日為母親節及中文學校結業式，教堂於中午十二時三十分舉辨母親節慶祝餐會，當天有宗教教育及中文學校老師及爸爸們帶領學生為母親們服務，希望藉此來慰勞辛苦一年的母親們，並歡迎大家的參與、支持及鼓勵。

 

※中文學校將在母親節午餐會後召開家長會，即為本學期最後一次家長會，敬請所有的家長儘量出席。

 

New Church Building Committee:                                By Maria L. Chen

 

※The New Church Fund Raising Team will hold a garage sale from Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 6. If you have any usable items, such as clothes, computer, furniture, bike, etc. and would like to donate for the new church building, please bring them in, on, or after Sunday, May 16th. Collection tables will be setup in the activity hall.

 

※Thanks for everybody’s support and generous commitment to the new church building project. A total of 124 special pledge cards have been turned in and the total pledged amount is $399,065.

 

※At 10:30 am  May 29, 2004, Most Reverend Bishop Grahmann will preside over the ground-breaking ceremony for our first phase construction. Please be prepared for this exciting moment of our church!

 

※After few modifications suggested by Diocese's Liturgy Committee, our new church's interior design and outlook have been approved. If you are interested in the details, please contact the new building construction team.

 

※The total collection of April’s building fund donation is $13,932.00.  We appreciate everybody’s generosity. Please continuously pray for the success of this project.

※ The ground-breaking ceremony for our new church will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 29th.  Bishop Grahmann will preside over the ceremony.  Complimentary refreshments will be served after the ceremony.  All parishioners are encouraged to attend.  Please pick up a flier from the table in lobby for the driving direction and the location of our new church.

 

Youth Formation:                                                                                               By Ron Chu

 

※ May 2 (Sun) will be the last day of class for CCD in this academic year. On Mother's Day May 9, we will supply pizzas for all kids in the parish; the time is 11:30pm. This is for celebrating the conclusion of our CCD class, and for feeding the kids before they participate in the Mother's Day event. We welcome all kids in our parish to participate in the pizza party.

 

※ Confirmation class will continue through all Sundays until the confirmation day on June 6 (Sun). Class time is as usual: every Sunday from 10:45am till noon.

※ Every year, the Youth Exchange Service (YES) arranges youths from different parts of the world to the US to participate in a student exchange program. The majority of the participating youths are Catholics, hence YES hopes that more Catholic families are willing to become host families for these youths. All participating youths have medical insurances, assigned schools, and pocket money of their own. The responsibility of the host family is to provide lodging and meals. If you would like to become a volunteer host family, please contact YES at 1-800-848-2121. Details of the program are also posted in the CCD bulletin board.

 

Outreach Team:                                                                                                By Jerry Han

※ Outreach Team appreciated all the help from everyone for making the Easter Carnival so successful. Total collection from the tickets sale and monetary contributions toward the event amounted to $3,447.50 excluding the expenses.  All net proceeds will go to outreach charities pending on church's Charity Committee's approval in June.

 

※ We will have our 3rd Welcome Angels Club meeting this Saturday May 8th.  It will be held at Harrington Park, which is located at the NW corner of 16th Street and Central.  Please be there at 4:30 pm.  If you haven't joined us before come and join us now for a great fellowship!  We also extend the invitation especially to those who went to Youth 2000, as a follow up and sharing.  Please sign up on the list in your CCD class!  That way, we can have a headcount of how many are coming.  If there are any questions, please contact Reuben at 972-238-9398.  Flyers with detailed information will be available in every CCD classroom.

 

※ We'll celebrate May's Birthday Stars with a birthday cake on May 2, 2004 at church's activity hall during lunch.

※ May 9th is Mother’s day and we will have Chinese School spring semester school end celebration. There will be a Mother’s day lunch party at 12:30 pm in church lobby. Teachers of CCD and Chinese school as well as student’s fathers will lead our children to serve their mother during the lunch time. Everybody is welcome to join and to support this special event.

 

※The last Chinese school parents and teachers meeting for this semester will be held after the Mother’s day lunch party.  Welcome all the parents of our school students to join with us.
